KESSY/Remote problem

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a 2011 3T estate with KESSY. I'm having problems with all the comfort functions in the driver Door, even central locking on the driver door (left hand). The left back Door is also acting up (central locking). I've checked fuses - no problems. I belueve this problem showed itself after a machine Wash. IF i yank the cable between driver door / body it starts to work but only for a few lock/unlock cycles. Any suggestions ?

Edit: the error is present wether I use KESSY or remote unlock/lock. Power Windows fail aswell ( left Doors)

There have been some problems with the wiring loom between the body and door breaking where it goes through the rubber duct.  Perhaps start checking there.  A VCDS scan would show "intermittant/implausible signal" in it's logs if this was the case.

Thanks, yes some reading on the board gave me the same suggestions. I haven't found any good info on how to remove the door panel, any tips there? Hmm, I dont have vcds but I can test a generic reader and see what turns up.

Anyone know how to remove the driver door panel on a 2011 superb?

to remove trim You need to remove firs the switches panel - just pull it up with some plastic tool

then unscrew 2 torx screws

then remove the speaker grille and unscrew 1 small torx

at the end unscrew 2 torx at the bottom

using plastic removal tool (or just secured screwdriver), start to remove the trim from bottom - it's some of plastic bolts underneath - You need to do it firmly

it's good to purchase some new plastic bolts for trim at Your dealer - just in case You destroy one or two of them

when You hae everything loose unsecure the electric scokets and pay special attention to the plastic element of the wiring to release

here some piscs:

Thanks for that instruction, worked flawlessly! I had to replace the Wire harnes in the door. Was a PITA to get to the connector for the door lock :-/ but with a few 4 letter words I got the job done :-)
