Ebay 3" downpipe and decat

Featured Replies

Good afternoon,

Does anyone have one of these downpipe/decat items fitted to their car?

AUD A3 VW GOLF 2.0T TURBO 3" STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST DECAT DOWNPIPE DE CAT

Seems well priced at 149.99 and that usually means it's cheap for a reason. I know that in theory it's just some stainless steel tube but compared to other brands it's significantly cheaper.

If anyone has fitted one in the past your input is most welcome!

Put another £125 with the cost of the cheap one your looking at buy a decent 3" decat pipe from Pipewerx, don't buy cheap junk mate it won't last, it's cheap for a reason. Buy quality that will last and you also have resellable value !

utter trash had one for a few months nothing but hassle.

Cheers guys. That's the response I expected to be honest but thought I'd ask on the off chance I'd stumbled across something decent! Thanks again for the responses.

I had a leaking flexi on my standard down pipe so fitted one as a stop gap. That was 6 months ago and for me anyway its been ok.I know it won't last long but serves a purpose for now

Despite above comments , mine has been on two years no problems, wrapped with titanium lava ( yeah i know ) heat sheilding , fitted with a 200 cell sports cat ...fitted by a exhaust specialist. Cannot complain especially at that price. Seen the pipeworx and the jetex versions ...they have a better finnish ...i.e. the welds are nicely finished. But from my experience so far this is well worth the money.  Check it everytime i get the car tracked .....

Pipewerx here, too awsome :)

I have one similar to this. had it shortened to suit the Octavia, and a new flange to suit the TSI turbo. best bang for buck IMO
