Columbus Navigation - Volume adjustment

Featured Replies

Hello, I have just taken delivery of my 2014 Superb Elegance Estate (long distance transaction so no dealer help with bells and whistles).  I can get the sat nav to work, but when the radio is on, even at a very low volume the sat nav cannot be heard properly.

Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Mrs is out with the car so can't check for sure but on the head unit under the setup button there's volume options - check there. Also, when the nav is giving instructions I have a feeling the right hand knob adjusts the volume of them.

Press the settings button .there should be a volume setting button on the screen. Press this and it goes into a sub menu and in there you can set the volume for the navigation.

Whilst the nav voice is active (playing) use the volume control to adjust or do it as already indicated in setup.

Regards,

Kevin.

You can change radio volume and sat nav volumes independently of each other. To change sat nav volume, you can do it through the Columbus menus, or more simply you just press the right hand dial to repeat the last nav instruction, and then turn the volume dial on the left side to change the volume of the sat nav speech.

My I resurrect this thread? I have now gained access to the menu on 'Nav' via 'tone' but the menu is confusing: one of the screens provides two volume slide controls. What do we do with that? Could someone provide me with what to do with this menu?

I think the navigation volume is how loud the instructions are

The other one that i can't remember it's name (music/audio) is how low it does or doesn't drop the radio/music when the instructions are spoken
