Columbus Media failure

Featured Replies

the Columbus unit in my '59 Superb has just developed a fault; when pressing the "Media" key, the screen goes blanks and displays "System starting".  Except it doesn't...   No music plays.

All other functions work fine, with displays as normal, (radio, phone, map, navigation, etc.), and steering wheel buttons for volume, change radio station, etc.

Any suggestions on how to test  / cure?

Thanks

Simon

I assume you don't have a code upgrade DVD in the slot? It would know there's something there but, as it isn't music, it wouldn't be able to play it.

Same would go for an SD or SDHC card if it has non-music files on it.

Remove all media and reboot the Columbus (<, > and i).

Then try again.
