Superb 11 plate low milage Elegance 1.8 Tsi DSG

Featured Replies

I'm after some advice regarding an 11 Plate, low mileage 1.8 Tsi DSG Superb Elegance.  It's only done 21k and had one owner. It's the same age as my Vrs and the same milage

I've seen the above moter and asking for advice/opinion on it

"  Is there a vast difference on power  ( against my VRs ) and after all the hype on engine failures (1.8 Tsi ) is it a good move "

I've  also seen a 12 plate superb 170 CR 4x4 Elegence ( Manual ), again Low milage but I only do 3 to 5k miles a years so would this suit better. Would I kill the DPF on the CR engine? ( work is a 6 mile round trip ) but I've fallen for all the equipment, Leather heated sets etc, etc  on both the Superbs.

I'm in a Quandary

Thanks

You know it makes sense :D

Just bought a 12 plate 140 elegance DSG estate. Fantastic car. I looked at an Octavia VRS estate but once I drove the superb there was no going back. I pick it up on Saturday and I cant wait. I looked at both cars and fell for the size, comfort and all the toys. Go for it...

I have a 62 plate 1.8TSi.  This engine is incredibly smooth, and I have added just one litre of oil in 17k miles (except oil change!)

Ok Folks UPDATE :--

Ambrosia is staying, been to test drive a 1.8Tsi Elegance DSG and I have to say although I liked the ride and the Toys it's not for me

Perhaps when I drive in my flat cap and Slippers I may get one but it didn't have the WOW factor, maybe I need the V6 3.6 version.

Power delivery in the Vrs ( Tsi ) is far superior

get a 3.6 v6 one there the dogs dangalies

Are you going to pay for it, I'm a Train Driver earning just above the minimum wage

id have one if i

1. could afford to run it

2. afford to tax it

3. insurance

4. and buy one  :D

Get the 1.8TSI remapped? You won't be too far off the pace of the v6 then.

Aww Andy! There's a v6 with really low miles on auto trader! Its a gem of a car. Not quite as sharp as an rs but its still chuckable around bends and chomps the miles up effortlessly! I'd certainly get another v6 when the time comes I recon. :)

Yes I'm at the petrol pumps quite often but its worth it.

I guess your sticking with the rs for now? There's a few 2.0tsi versions out there if you look hard enough...

I too fancy a v6, probably cost a bit more to run than my TSi, but the fun factor might be enough to make my spend the hard-earned!

Q?, which TOC do you work for, I drive trains too, but little uns, (7 1/4") just for fun!)
