1.2 I assume?

Guessing you are on mobile so cannot see --> Car:Skoda Fabia 2001 1.4 8V

This is how i did it for memory:

Drop Oil and coolant

Unbolt the coolant pipe which runs under then engine (water pump to rad, lower pipe)

Un bolt Sump

unbolt the Oil pump

Remove the Auxiliary belt.

Then i would remove the Tacho sensor which is ontop of the gearbox, then screw in a M6x40mm screw which has had its end filed to a point. this is to lock the crank shaft & flywheel in place.

Undo the Crankshaft pulley bolt,

remove the timing chain cover, you may also need to remove one of the auxiliary pulley's

then undo the Cam shaft nut. Slide off the old timing chain.

Fit the new chain, the two sprockets should have a marker dot each. these two dots need to be 12 links apart. To refit the chain you may need to loosen the engine mount to get a few mm of drop, ofcouse keeping the gearbox support by a trolley jack.

refit the remaining parts.

i may have missed some parts.

Then i would remove the Tacho sensor which is ontop of the gearbox

Speed sensor.
