Rear wipper activation speed limit.

Featured Replies

Hi,

I tried to activate the rear wipper (engine on) by pressing the wippers paddle to position 6 (one push towards the front).

I noticed that it is activated only if the car is moving.

Does anyone have any idea how to use it when the car is stopped?

It should be one push towards the back shouldn't it?

Hi,

I meant towards the front of the car :). Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Ah, ok. Mine works fine when the car is stationary...

I think I'll have to pay a visit to my dealer.

I hope I'm missing something regarding this and is nothing serious.

In case someone else stumbles against this problem.

Today I went to my dealer and the cause of the problem was very simple. The trunk was not properly shut.

The car being new, I did not want to slam it and it seems that the "close" contact was not activated. In the same time I did not get any warning on the dashboard which I find odd.

Anyway, glad that it was not something serious.

Another symptom of this is that the side mirrors puddle lights would stay on for around 10 min after I closed the car.

Interesting about the puddle lights staying on as mine keep doing that, but haven't noticed any rear wiper issues.
