Hi, very tempted by a new diesel estate and the VRS seems to tick a lot of boxes.  I did a quote through Carwow and have a few quotes and also spoke to my local dealer.

 

Both have stated 15-16 weeks for a factory build but say that they are seeing this decrease.  Looking at some of the posts on here Id say that wasnt the case but has anyone seen it come in sooner?

 

I was going to go for Corrida Red, black pack, spare wheel, heated washers and parking sensors so nothing too much. 

There have been rumours that Skoda have increased the production rate on the vRS to clear the backlog / meet the demand.  Unfortunately, those who have been waiting a long time don't seem to be seeing this in reality.  On the flip side, I ordered in the last week of March, and mine is due to be built next week.  It's just a shame it is then going to be sat at the dealer when it turns up until 1st September...

How come? 

 

I could possibly live with the 16weeks but no more.  In fact Im still not sure what to do as if the cars right as I will keep it for a long time so still trying to figure out going HP or PCP right now.

Because I don't actually need it until October, when my company car goes back... but I'm not about to pass up on the chance to get a new car on the first day of the new reg number for the first time

I was originally quoted 12-16 weeks for mine. I ordered it in October. Our fleet manager cocked up and didn't order it until December, and it's due to be built next week. So it will be 7 months since the actual order was placed by the time I get it, if it comes mid July.

 

I would not believe that delivery time personally. It's a lottery frankly.

Was in my dealer this morning and they said that vRS orders placed Dec/Jan were just starting to turn up, so 6 months seems about right still for a vRS.

 

They were talking 12-16 weeks on non-vRS models.

Indeed, if you are not prepared to wait more than 16 weeks, don't order a vRS.

I haven't seen any evidence things are improving .... the car I originally ordered in mid jan is being built this week apparently .... so around 5 months to dealer from order.

It was what I was told would be the case on ordering  ... but the lack of info from SUK meant I got itchy feet !

As above expect at least 20 weeks on a vrs. I ordered 18 December and collected last weekend.

i ordered about 3 weeks ago and was told to expect delivery around December. i was originally provisional build week 40 which then came down to 29 now i currently don't have a provisional build week. So  i would have thought its going to be at least 20-25 weeks unless you can find a car pre built with the spec your after

Mine was ordered towards the end of april and projected delivery was 1st Sept - I've had it for 3 weeks now! Mines in a standard colour with only the black pack extra. Guess I dropped in on a cancelled order or something!

Or the dealer had taken a punt and ordered one to that spec a few months previously knowing they would sell it or as the last resort register it as a demonstrator.

Yeah a few if the offers Ive had they have said they could get other spec sooner.  Nothing that I would take though.  15 weeks is the max Id wait, Im impatient plus have a wee one due in 16 weeks so  would like it before then. 

I was told of 2 Race Blues and 1 Candy White vRS's available (cancelled orders), but I'm holding out for a Meteor Grey, and certainly don't want all the options that the others have, don't need it until next spring so happy to wait to see what comes up and if nothing I'll put an order in at the end of the summer.

Carwow show the average delivery time for the Octavia Estate at 16 weeks and the VRS at 26 weeks!!

I ordered my Vrs mid march and found out it's being delivered next week to dealer but I do hope it's as good as they say

Thanks guys, does seem a bit of a lottery.  Might just see if I can get a cancelled order to get it in closer.  Well actually I better try one out first I suppose. 

Hi, mine was order end of November. I pick it up next Tuesday!!!!!! Hopefully worth the wait. Would also be nice to get the new steering wheel!
