Two bulbs in one day?

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Bit of an odd one... today I was driving into work when the MFD came up with "check right rear brake light". So I popped into halfords, checked it - yes it was out - bought a bulb and changed it. All good. Was feelinig a bit pleased with myself when ten minutes down the road the MFD comes up with "Check front right dipped beam". Checked when I got to work, and yes it was out. Is this just bad luck?

To complicate matters, that front right cluster was completely changed last november after an idiot neighbour drove into it. The repairer didnt do a great job and it had to go back to be changed / fixed again.

So now i'm in the quandary of whether I just change the headlight bulb, or have my friendly independent check it out to see if the repairer did something daft.....

Personally I'd just put it down to bad luck and change it. Unless there are any symptoms of a bad repair or faulty unit, ie water ingress etc?

had the same with both dipped headlight bulbs both went with two days nothing after that just ones of those things
