Transferring contacts etc Android

Featured Replies

Well well, I`ve just had a look on the tablet and there is indeed a People app with my contacts listed there, although not complete, ie some contacts with several numbers are only showing one but its a start.

Thanks bubba

I thought I needed to look in Gmail and I searched high and low using both my browser (Dolphin & Chrome) and the Gmail app and theres no sign of a Contacts or People link

now you have the app, you can easily amend and merge contacts, that should tidy them all up and they can then sync across any other android device's you may use :)

Funnily enough I've just been setting my Mum's new Xperia m2 which was delivered for today. Seems quite a good phone thus far.

Mine turned up today too, not bad but I knew where **** was on my Ace2 :D Anyway, contacts imported via SD card.

In fact, I'll call you from it in a mo :D

Thanks bubba I`ll crack on with that now

OK, so the Xperia M2, seems ok so far but; how the hell do I delete all this bloatware (Amazon this, Amazon that kinda stuff) Tried in App settings but I can only uninstall updates and disable but not remove them?

Anyone?

I don't think you can. You might need to go down the route of rooting the phone, but then you are likely to void any warranty that's the problem.

I've been messing around on Mum's new M2 and I think it's quite a good phone but like you I've found all the bloat ware stuff a pain in the ...

That works, thanks. I thought it would appear when i went to Gmail from my home page. I wasn't aware that I had to google it.

Also,I was getting confused. I thought it backed up my phone contacts not my email contacts

When you log into Gmail there should be a red Gmail button underneath the Google logo on the top left hand side, when you click this you get a dropdown box to allow you to change between mail, contacts and tasks.

Thanks John. I think I do get that on my PC but for most of this thread I was using my Android tablet. On that, when I log into Google the only way I can see to switch to Gmail is by using the drop down "more". Switching to Gmail, I've looked everywhere and I just can't find a link to Contacts.
