Superb bits

Featured Replies

No read the title again I said bits .....

.....does the superb have the normal skoda wheels? (5 stud etc.) what alloys have you got on yours ........... any mods on on your car .....want to keep a superb looking normal but going great :D

And yes the VRS is definitely going......sad but can't afford to keep up with the fuel....so if you want a 14,000 miles 53 plate octy estate pm me with an offer

Does that mean your user name will soon be Otygoneagain?

The Superb has 5 x 112 PCD iirc and the Mk1 Octy has 5 x 100 PCD so the wheels aren't compatible. I think the Mk2 Octy is 112 PCD but someone will confirm I'm sure....

assuming the wheels are 5x112, same as a passat.....

think the five spokes are nice. elegance trim std, same sort of thing that xav has on the Furby.

Shame about having to let the vRS go. I'd have it but, like you say, fuel costs.... :o

or even again again....it was fun but my old pd 130 %**cough*** was just as quick to silly speeds and did up to 60 mpg......just thought I'd try a Superb....nightfire blue metallic, pd 130, 5 months old, loads of toys and a bit more room for the kids (I can put my seat where I want for a change)

Most people who buy the Elegance opt for the "Solid" alloy wheels which are a no cost option instead of the normal alloys. These are superb (excuse pun) looking wheels and don't need any additions of changes.

As discussed in another recent post the Superb is just not the sort of car that should be "tarted up" with lots of "go faster" mods. It has enough presence without anything added.

Don't take this the wrong way but I don't think you are selling due to running costs and if you are then maybe you shouldn't!!

I would have thought you will lose a packet on the VRS with only having it for a very short period and with the Pre Reg prices as they are. Far more than a bit of unleaded will cost you.

I reckon you miss the torque really :P

Yep dead right .....I am going to loose a bit...but at the moment my fuel costs are double what they were....so just changing back to a diesel I save nearly

...if someone could transplant a pd 130 (or the new 140 or 170 in Roos case) into a Vrs that would be pure magic........where does Jason live :D
IIRC transplanting is easy - but getting it to run is a bit more problematic so rumour has it. :)

nooo-can't go that long with no car!

the fuel thing is a decent arguement based on your current fuel costs but if you had the vRS chipped you would have a big smile :D

It's plenty fast enough thats not the problem.....I used to fill the old car up every 2 to 3 weeks this one is every week  and I can't see the price of fuel going down much.....now if I chip the Superb !!!!!!!! and 60 mpg

so just changing back to a diesel I save nearly

Which spec are you going for Rob? It sounds like the Classic to me. If Passat wheels fit then could a VW site provide any info as to which wheels from other cars will also fit?

Sort your own one out then ;) :P

Hmm, tough call Rob, but I was always sceptical you'd survive away from derv pulling power...

I'd love to have an Octy RS, but running costs would cripple me too with the mileage I do :( not to mention insurance

It's just got to the stage where it's annoying me ....you can nearly watch the fuel gauge go down and just now went to collect my son and have to go the long way round because the front scrapes on the ground going the easy way......cant park in my parents parking space becase a piece of stone sticks up two and a half inches and crunches somthing underneath .....cant visit one of my wifes relatives 10 miles away because it wont go up their drive and there is nowhere else to park :o ...the list goes on

only
Ok here's what we'll do - You get all your friends round, take each others shoes and socks off and you can see who can work out 12 x

Ok - It's a draw. :P

It's a real shame it has to go' date=' it looks like a lovely motor.[/quote']

it is .....shines and looks like new, got told by one garage that it is "showroom condition" only 14,000 on a 53 plate, almost immaculate.....drives brilliant........no faults as far I know....taxed until next July .....one years warranty left...and rear parking sensors, didn't think I would ever need them but they are brilliant........but I am sure someone else will enjoy it..I have, but it's just not the right car for me or for driving around here

I would like to put alloys on (the Elegance ones are great but

Shame it has to go but it sounds like it has more cons than pros where you live.

I am getting 38 mpg out of my vRS on a 24 mile round trip to work at the moment.Best I have hed out of Jane's fabia pd 130 is 58.8 (babying it a bit though) normally get about 45/47.

Superb is a cracking car.Only no no for me is it is not a hatch.Found that a bit restrictive.Hope you enjoy the new car

I'm sure the garage will do pretty good trade in .Shame they cant sort you a 2.0 octy deal.Maybe a 4x4 estate with a bit of ground clearance :)
