Probably a silly question but..

Featured Replies

I'm going away on holiday for a week soon and will be leaving my car at my girlfriends house for the duration. Just checked and her postcode is an E rating, although regardless of it's rating, is it something I should mention to my insurance company before I go away?

98% of the time it's at mine at night, but I was just wondering if anything were to happen to it, whether they might kick up a fuss because it had been there for a week. Or is it a too small length of time?

Thanks!

Mike

For that long, I doubt the insurance company will bother.  They must factor in people going on holiday or similar.  As long as the car isn't staying there overnight on a long term basis, I don't see an issue.

I think they'd struggle to say that 1/52nd of the time is "kept regularly at that address".

Thanks for the replies. Just thought it was worth checking just in case.
