How much do i declare?

Featured Replies

Download one of the recording apps such as Automatic Call Recorder from Google Play.  Leave it configured to automatically record all calls (it will ask if you want to keep the recording afterwards) and transfer any relevant calls to your PC.  Peace of mind,, and then you don't have to worry that they somehow didn't record / keep the recording of your call.

When the message says 'calls may be recorded . . .' say 'same this end' and you are covered.

I know it's a bit late for me to comment but I've found that if you speak with your insurers they are very helpful and advise what you need to tell them about. It's better to be safe than sorry. Many years ago someone out "go faster" stripes on a Ford Fiesta and the insurance company tried to renege on settling a claim! After a lot of correspondence the claim was settled.

If you are asked to declare mods then declare them. You have been advised by an insurance agent on this thread but by your responses seem to disagree. I wonder why you asked in the first place if not willing to accept advice.

If you do not declare mods then need to claim do not whinge should you have problems with the claim.

Declare everything as asked then you can sleep easy.

But what is classed as a declarable modification? This is the crux of all these discussions as there is never any definitive answer and 'everything' is not really acceptable. Headlights, yeah, I would say so, but glove box light bulb, really?

If it was not fitted at the factory then it is a modification.

Same here.

You have to record yourself calling up a normal insurance company for a quote on the citi go go at some point and post it for us. Would take confusion to a whole new level :D

Any results on this Oli?
