I've just tried to put an advert in the for sale section, and it says it is only possible to do so for freedom members. What it a freedom member. Do I have to pay a fee to advertise because I've just become an ex Skoda owner.

Nope all sales on Briskoda can only be done if you have paid for Freedom this can be done so through the shop and iirc you can get a short membership for advertising purposes

There is a 30 day £4 freedom option if you just want to hammer the classifieds section

Correct, Freedom can be had for as little as £4 for 30 days which is specifically aimed at sellers. After the 30 days you can upgrade to the years membership for another £8 (a years membership is only £12)

As well as being able to sell, you get a whole host of extra benefits such as hidden forums, privileges etc. all of which the details can be found in the shop
