Resurfacing work will be starting next week!

The work will be carried out in three phases and is currently planned as follows:

Note: The work will be carried out overnight, between 2200 and 0600hrs.

·         Northbound between Compton (B3000) and Burpham (A3100) from Tuesday 8 to Tuesday 15 July. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the B3000, A31, A322, A246 and A3100.

·         Southbound between Burpham (A3100) and Hog’s Back (A31) from Saturday 26 July to Friday 1 August and then on the following four Saturdays (between 9pm to 9am); 2, 9, 16 and 23 August. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A3100, A246, A322 and A31.

·         Northbound between Dennis (A322) and Ockham (B2215/B2039) from Monday 18 August to Friday 19 September. A clearly signed diversion will be in place via the A25, A247 and B2215.

Please check whether your journeys will be affected, especially if you're going for a continental ferry from Portsmouth or to the Isle Of Wight as you may miss your sailings, as the diversionary routes are a lot slower and have speed cameras on them (A25/A246/A3100) and is in addition to any overnight closures of the Hindhead Tunnels.

So did I then!

oh.. i thought this was a thread for Audi A3 drivers. Nevermind haha

why the hell would you think it was about an Audi A3 when it's in General Car Chat, are you stupid?!

Ok, I admit it, so did I :( :D

Glad it wasn't just me.

All I can say is about time, A3 is my regular commute, that bit of road is steadily getting worse. All they now need to do is the A31 westbound from Guildford to Farnham and my journey would be a whole lot smoother. There are only some many bumps a Superb can iron out!!

I'll avoid the A3 as well---------------------in my A3.

This is my commute to work, ah well guess will be going across the back roads via Seale, Shackleford etc!

(scrub that I'm actually on Holiday for when they do the bit I go on) :D
