Mk3 Octavia is becomming rather common.......

Featured Replies

Plenty in Hampshire, both "normal" Octavias and vRS. Get over it guys, good product it might be, exclusive it isn't and never will be - it's a normal run of the mill car.

and that is the correct answer

Its only meant to be a normal car.

I have a regular weekly visit of Octavia owners from far and wide, might have something to do with cornering fogs, rain closing, footwell lights, high beam assist etc. though.

What colour? I will keep an eye out

Just seen this..it's a white one. :-)

Loads by me now.

At the filling station on Saturday a chap wandered over and said hello and explained that he had another Topaz Brown estate and was slightly miffed to see that he was no longer the only one. The feeling is mutual :)

Had a test drive at the weekend and drove past another while I was out. So that's 4 now. All seem to be white though!

Who buys a brown car?

Who buys a brown car?

My dad. He has a new "autumn gold" (i.e. brown) Passat with brown leather seats.

As I said to him... it's all very nice, it's just not what I'd buy.   :D

Brown is the new black, or is that white?

Who cares - I will have both - white exterior and brown interior!

Guys the skoda brand is a popular make over in British Forces Germany on my tiny camp there is 4 VRS estates 2 White one blue and my own black one in hatch guise there is at the latest count 6 ( 2 x blue, 2 x white and 2 x black). Along with several Elegance specced Octavia's (no brown ones yet). Their is also several FL Superb estates (L&K and Elegance spec) loads of Yeti's even a couple of Rapids.

No doubt when September comes ( ain't that a song) lots more VRS's will appear!!!

Only if they were ordered back in March!

Seen 2 other VRS in Watford and Barnet area in 6 months, seen about 4 standard mk3s in same time frame

I hope you are not calling my Race Blue Elegance DSG a 'standard' car - Live in Borehamwood!!!!

Family car from a manufacturer aimed at the mass market  becomes a common sight.

Come on people, is it really a surprise?  Good cars they are, exclusive they are not.

When Skoda finally respond to customer demand and get their manufacturing quotas and procedures in order they will be even more common.

There are a few Octavia Mk3's around the northeast area now. since I got my Estate VRS Rallye Green, over a month ago, havn't seen another VRS, though I did see 1 hatch & 1 estate before mine arrived over 1 weekend.

Afternoon all

I live in Newcastle Upon Tyne and I have only seen 4 MK3 Octavia's, one in white, one in blue and two in the same lovely colour as mine- Corrido Red lol. One of the red ones is a taxi and it stands out amongst the sea of MK2's used by the various taxi firms. I still think owning a Octavia is a little secret, only those who own and drive one really know how good the cars are.

Octavia is the second most popular car in Switzerland after the Golf.

In the last 3 months, I've started to see lots of Mk3's now that the parts shortages have ended.

I actually started to chase one Metal Grey vRS down the road the other day to check the number plate as it was the first I'd seen except for my own... :D

I'd say the vRS is a fairly rare sight.... mk 1, 2 or 3.  I was pretty miffed when waiting for mine that I didn't pass any mk3s, and older versions are reasonably thin on the ground round my way.

If you were sensible and bought a green or yellow vRS, your car is especially rare....

Mind you, a friend recently bought a Tiguain at >£100 more / month than a vRS.  I'm pretty sure everyone is stupid except me.
