P2015 fault Code - New Intake?

Featured Replies

My fault light has come on my 2009 FL VRS TSI and has advised code P2015 which I believe doing a quick search that this is a common issue across VAG.

Am I right in assuming with the TSI engine this is a complete inlet replacement?

How much should I expect to pay to replace parts and labour?

Thanks

I had this and it needed a whole new inlet (comes with sensors)

I think I paid just shy of £500 in total

parts are

06J 998 907 B - Repair Kit - Qty 4 £21.00
06J 133 201 AS - Manifold - Qty 1 £282.69

The main issue I had was MIL on and revs would rise from idle once engine was up to running temp

Sorry for the bump, but having had the P2015 come up a few times now after being reset, I need to buy the parts for the local indie to fit.

Am I right in thinking all I need is the above

06J 998 907 B - Repair Kit - Qty 4 £21.00
06J 133 201 AS - Manifold - Qty 1 £282.69

or is there anything else he will need when fitting?

I had a new inlet manifold fitted by an independent garage about 4 months ago. Parts and labour was also around £500. It's not just VAG engines that have this problem. The last thing that went wrong and needed replacing with my previous car, a Mazda 3 sport was the inlet manifold. Same plastic design with those bloomin swirl flaps.
