Power steering fluid res I think.

The symbol on the lid will tell you...  but do believe it to be power steering fluid.

Well that's not good!

I'm guessing I'll know tomorrow when I go out the car, I take it a warning light should come on if it's drained and also steering will be very heavy?

Thanks for the replies

Yep that's power steering.

Looks much like this.

(& the pic of otherside if you are interested.)

Wow, I thought only the 1.9 diesel had the power steering fluid reservoir down there under the battery. Its definitely that.

All Fabias both MK1 and Mk2 have the power steering pump and reservoir in the same location.

Looks like I might have got away with any major damage, just a bit of cosmetic work.

Badger urine?

Badger urine?

I did wonder.

I watched it back on my DrivePro and my 'evasive*action was not up to scratch! It got a glancing blow from the FNS found badger hair on the alloy, under the fog light housing, the trim on the wheel arch and in the big bloody cracked on the front splitter. Those badgers are sturdy buggers!

I can confirm that the hazard warning lights come on automatically under heavy breaking.

It won't be driveable without power steering! So get up extra early to check it...

All Fabias both MK1 and Mk2 have the power steering pump and reservoir in the same stupidly inaccessible location.

Just found out today that pesky badger has totally obliterated my horn! Came to use it today and.....nothing. Sturdy little critter!
