Darkside fmic towing eye solution

Featured Replies

Here is what I done to retain a stdish towing eye without fear of smashin or having to remove the front end of the car to tow it... simply... get an Audi or similar extra long towing eye, graft it to the Skoda one as in the pic. Drill spot welds then angle tow socket until desired then weld in a packer - box section or gusset to suit. Was going to cap the whole affair after taking photos for u guys :-) hope this helps

Nice one!

I went for a TRS tow strap welded on!

Hmm, not thought about towing eye....

Currently my Allard kit doesn't get in the way of it, but I shall be likely going with the hefty Darkside cooler soon as my Allard kit is getting on in age.  It's about 9 years old now.
