How to tell a genuine M badged BMW

Featured Replies

My boss has one

Twin pipes, different wheels and its wider i think.

It does go well :)

It does. A handful to drive on the limit though.

He flipped his over a wall at 100mph on a cool night.

Got a nissan GTR now

The 116d M Sport is a hilarious oxymoron.

I agree, an eco friendly cheap on tax BMW labelled with an M badge. I must add I did not pick it, I was given it as a company car.

But still, it looks nicer than a bog standard spec, I'd be happy with one!

Look at the driver, if they look to be a jumped up business boy or girl with a smug look on their face and too much self importance; chances are it's a company provided M-Sport.

Badge engineering and marketing at its best, all aimed at the wannabe's and has beens that try to drive the things you know the ones I mean... the loud ones on the train shouting down their mobiles...buy! buy! buy!.... impresing no one except their mummies and the inept bimbo or piece of mutton hanging off their arm on a friday night at Harrys wine bar... Knobs....

apols James...

So not much different to a Fabia Monte Carlo and a VRS.

Yeah but the Skoda VRS's have always had poke either petrol or diesel,

Volvo did it years ago with the R-design cars when they finished production of the true R cars and it worked well for them

Love the inverse badge snobbery / jealousy ( delete as appropriate) .
