Fiesta ST 5 door?

Featured Replies

Looking to change the car maybe next year

Has to be similar size to mk2 Fabia

Needs power, but back doors a must

Don't fancy new Clio for various reasons

An ST Fiesta would tick every box but no back doors

How come America has one though?

Seriously, how many Americans are gonna fit in the back for one thing

So is the 5 door coming to the uk ?(like Swift sport did eventually)

Anyone know anything ? Insider info etc?

I am in the exact same position. Ford are incredibly frustrating. Best alternative I can come up with is the swift. Need to go and test drive one.

I've been eyeing the swift sport up for a while

Right up to the point where I opened the boot

Too small. :(

Coulda cried

Hardly cavernous in the boot of a 5 door Fiesta.

Would a Focus ST Estate not be a suitable vehicle.

vRSy seemed very please with his Focus ST after getting shot of his Stage 2 + Twincharger.

There were some pretty good value ones around the country last time i looked.

Way too big.

Sadly am limited size wise due to a narrow driveway and cars everywhere on our street

Fab 2 is as big as I can go unfortunately

Not only that but look at the size of latest focus st

I remember the ford escort gene, now it's more like Cortina size

Heading on for Granada size in my eyes

I must admit I've never seen in the Fiesta boot but I can go a little smaller

Just not swift sport smaller. :(

You need a Fabia vRS Estate lol - similar size but mahoooosive boot hehe....

You know the story,

that 9 3/4 " can be just too much for some.

Amazing bargains to be had though.

I do find the Fiesta ST quite practical.

As cars get bigger and bigger with successive generations the boot is bigger than I was expecting.

Not huge, but certainly around the size of the Fabia Hatch.  Seems a bit longer though.

America get the 5 door (which I would preferably have bought!) but it's made in Mexico apparently.

Europe only make the 3 door.

So not much chance at present...

...

That must be the Fajita-ST then........lol

I was in the same position not long ago but my main problem was that the car had to be an auto for swmbo,so after looking around I ended up buying another fabia vrs lol

I find it difficult to believe that the missed revenue from not selling the 5 door to people who will instead buy another brand doesn't outweigh what extra revenue they get / revenue they protect on the focus ST.

+1

I've had too many unreliable Fords in the past

It would take something special for me to buy a Ford and the Fiesta in 5 door form could well have been it

Now my money may go elsewhere

I got Titanium X 5dr with the 125bhp turbo engine as a lease replacement for my Superb in April. Cracking little car and engine is a peach. Just spent a week in North Wales and drove over Kirkstone Pass on way South-never missed a beat and although much smaller and a tad less well sound insulated than Superb I really like the Fiesta. Don't discount until you have had a test drive of this engine.

Would that be a petrol or diesel?

Petrol, 1litre, but had torque profile like a diesel

Don't forget there is the new 138bhp version of the 1.0. That could be an option.
