Air con problem

Featured Replies

When the air con is switched on, I don't get cooled air. So I was thinking it was needing a re-gas. There is also a hissing sound coming from the top of the dash area where the top cubby is. Does anyone have any idea what this sound us or what'd causing it.

Condenser holed?

Same on mine, no noticeable hiss though. Condenser looks like it's seen around 48,000 miles of driving in 2 and a half years.

Done a scan with VCDS and came back HVAC coolant low pressure. Also checked the measuring blocks and get this....

So, knackered compressor and zero coolant?

Many thanks.

Compressor won't kick in if the lower pursue threshold is reached so compressor might be ok, just looks like you've no refrigerant in the system which would almost certainly indicate a reasonable sized leak

The car is going into a garage later on today to be checked for gas. Did the trick with climate, the compressor is turning.
