'Clean Your Car' DAS-21E Dual Action Polisher

Its available at CYC at last!!

This is a direct copy of the Rupes Bigfoot DA polisher...recognised in the Detailing industry as the best there is

I'll let CYC tell you all about it:

The all new DAS-21E Dual Action Polisher set a new standard in machine polishing technology. With an large orbit of 21mm, the dual action polisher has evolved to become a leader in efficient cutting power while still maintaining the safe operation expected from a DA polisher.

The DAS-21E is powered by a large 900W motor, and even with the massive 21mm orbit still operates smoother and more quietly than traditional dual action polishers. The backing plate features ventilated cooling channels to help reduce heat transfer.

The DAS-21E Big Throw Random Orbital Polisher utilizes a unique 21 millimeter throw which covers more surface area than a conventional orbital polisher. The larger throw allows the polisher to remove swirls, scratches, holograms and other paint defects faster and easier than any other machine. A typical orbital polisher has a throw between 4 and 8 millimeters. this large throw gives this revolutionary polisher the ability to run smoother and correct defects faster than a conventional dual action polisher.

It comes with a long 5 meter cable and is supplied with a 150mm (6") Backing plate, making it ideal for all 6" pads, such as Lake Country CCS, Meguiars Microfibre & Soft Buff Pads.

Specs:

Power: 900W
Cable Length: 5 Meter
Orbit: 21mm
Weight: 2.4kg
Backing Plate: 150mm (6")

I'll post up a review as soon as I get my hands on it next week and use it of course

  • This does not appear to be going anywhere productive............... Polite suggestion (to all) - might be worth dropping it and moving on It's a good thread and I am leaning to taking one of these o

Looks good & nice to see they put a decent length of cable on it. Can you get a 5" backing plate? I see it comes with a 6" plate, meaning you need pads which are more than 6"

  • I have some Rupes Pads that will fit anyway...but I bought the package that includes Pads and polish It doesnt vome with abag ..so I bought a Rupes Bag as well

Well ......going on a couple of comments from a Pro Detailer  I know and many on DW, the Rupes is the best, but I guess everyone has their preferences

I know less about the Flex personally

Anyway..Its coming next week and is an absolute bargain!!

How safe are these to use Chris? I like that it's lighter than my current DAS6

Very safe Carl...with common sense

So as safe as my DAS6 then?

You fancy a drive over tomorrow to pick a couple up Chris? I'll drive?

Ive ordered already Carl and Andy Goldfinger is coming for a Protection Detail at lunchtime

Thanks anyway mate

Ok no problem, do you think they will be selling these cheaper at waxstock?

  • Author

Doubt it......

Just thinking out aloud here......Do you need one Carl?

You have a DA Pro which is more powerful than than my Megs v2 220 DA

That will be more than adequate for your needs

I only got the standard DA Chris. I was thinking of weight and ease of use and results of course.

Sorry to go OT but is the rupes big foot good then? I got a brochure at goodwood and the random orbital feature looked good. Prices were a little eye watering though

Good question a 5" plate would be good.

Yes, that's what I thought. I have a friend overseas who told me about these machines over 6 months ago. His advice was to wait for the 15 model to come out. Apparently is much more user friendly.

Someone mentioned the -15 model to me just recently and that they would be worth waiting for!

Still - with the current Flex deals; i'm still saving my cash for a VRG i think.

I will monitor the DAS/FR-21 releases from CYC and AD for reliability in the meantime.

Flex VRG would be my choice, proven track record, or wait 6 months to see if these copies are standing the test of time.

Yes - the VRG deals at the minute are very very competitive....hard to ignore.

The copies have their place, but depends on how much you use them.

I've said before on the forum - i'm skipping the first batch of copies anyway and let things settle.

Or Festool :)

Or Festool :)

Good shout with Festool.

I have been drooling over some of the Pro setups with Festool.

ShinEX and RotEX models are very nice.... but pricey!!!

You get what you pay for, wonder if anyone does cheap unproven imitations, lol

I'm happy to be one of the first to buy and use one of these extensively tested machines

If there was any doubt that they would not perform as well as they might, or be of dubious quality, I wouldn't have bought one and sold my existing DA

Excellent, look forward to your professional opinion.
