Octavia Coupe! ....sorry if this is old news!

Featured Replies

Was it at the Geneva show then?  Or was there just a sketch of it there?

These car are not f#*#ing coupes! sorry not having a rant at you op. I'm sick to the back teeth with these style of cars called coupes. A coupe only has two side doors, not four.

Urgh my eyes

Like it. Want one.

Coupe.  Two doors, big engine & rear wheel drive.  Coupe.

I too am irritated by the term "4 door coupe"

According to Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coup%C3%A9 it was first used in 1962 - so as it has been used by manufacturers for over 50 years maybe we should just get over it?

Or maybe it is annoying :D

Coupe has 2 doors not 4 surely ? Like it though !

Much is 'Lost in Translation'  when it gets to German,

be that from French, English,  US English, Czech, Indian etc.

Coupe, Spaceback, Sportvan, Combi, Sport, Combi, Estate Shooting brake, Emotional, Squat, Reliable, Good Customer Services etc

As used by Rover in 1962, when this was introduced:

If coupé means 'cut' in French, then surely anything with a lower roof line counts?

This is old news though unfortunately. It's called the "Vision C" by Skoda.

I like that too, in fact better than the Passat CC.   As for the name, companies call them whatever they like these days.  There's been many cars with the Coupe name attached---------loosely termed.

Does seem like an unlikely concept, can't see why VAG would do this. Doesn't make a great deal of sense to me.

If VAG is looking to grab people who want a 'looker' then I'd have thought they'd be nudging them towards Audi.

Going by Skoda's recent pricing it'd probably not be a million miles away from a nearly new Q5.
