Skoda octavia vrs does not accelerates

Featured Replies

My skoda octavia vrs 2005 1.8 tai starts but I can't accelerate it does not rev up. In scanning results came no connection between accelerator and throttle body , I changed throttle body but it didn't help. Please guide me to proper solution as mechanics are misguiding me to change ECM of car. ( as per my knowledge car has gone to safe mode where engine runs but does not accelerates)

How about the accelerator pedal assembly rather then the bottle body?

These are drive by wire ( not cable to throttle)so maybe pedal but also could be ecu. So don't think garage are necessarily miss leading you there.

As bowders says, you're looking at pedal, throttle body, wiring or ECU.

checked by putting my cars peddal in another car and it works properly

Sounds like it probably is the ECU then. You've eliminated everything else. Unless it's wiring somewhere...
