I thought that was the temperature in York  :giggle:

Not too shabby even if it's a couple of MPG out that still good going!

No it was only about 27c :sun:

So that's why the average speed on the A59 can only be described as 'pedestrian'!?

My economy runs usually consist of just keeping to the 60mph limits and slowing down in good time with engine braking for the 50, 40 and 30 limits. Actually that's how I almost always drive anyway! lol

Never done a mega slow run before.

The best trip MPG I ever got was 98.9mpg! Granted it was an hours drive coming back down from the black forest in Germany and mainly involved 6th gear not touching any of the pedals gliding down long hills. Was amazing. It soon plummited once we got onto the Autobahn though!

I will be landing in Germany in just over a month. Sadly in a car that knocks up 17-30 mpg!

Its nippy enough but is frighteningly thirsty with a liberal right foot

I went to catterick in a hire van today.......a 63 plate vauxhall vivaro cdti .....i checked the trip computer & it said average mpg was 19 MPG!!!.........somebody had been having some fun it it.. :D .......it did go well though.....fastest van ive driven in a while, puts our work transit to shame & thought that went well for a van.

At least we won't be able to blame the wagons for much longer...

Heard this on the radio, much welcome news, on reading the full article they are considering raising the limit to 60mph on dual carriageways which is puzzling as we are limited to 56mph, even though the limit on motorways is also 60mph, so do this mean the 56mph limit is going to be raised,
