I would just like to say Hi to my new prospective virtual friends in the owners club.

Until the last 3 weeks I wouldn't have ever taken a second look at a Skoda purely based on the reputation that an 'Outsider' has been shall I say brought up with... however after being forced into needing to buy a new car, and the mrs saying 'oh please just give it a look, you never know...' I am pleased to say that I can't imagine ever looking back now...

I pick my new Octavia 1.8T vRS up on monday (6 days from now) and this has to be the longest 6 day's im ever likely to experience.

After test driving this beautiful car I was drawn in straight away to it's looks, handling, performance, even the guys at the dealership just couldn't offer enough help and advice etc.

I think I have become a 'Thoroughly completely converted Very Happy Skoda Customer.' Infact if my experience of buying this car is a benchmark for what anyone would experience, then I think that everyone should go get one now and never look back!!!

I know no car or dealership is perfect but this just feels different... hopefully I am and going to stay correct in that thought. Everything has gone smoothly and can't wait to get behind the wheel of my new Octavia vRS.

Welcome - You have made a good choice and the dealer experiences in my case and my friends with Skoda's has been good. Cant praise my dealership enough as an example today they pursuaded an MOT tester to work on a Saturday to fit in with my requirements - above and beyond the call of Duty! (Winner Garage Cinderford)

Not sure if you are aware but the Ocatvia RS is about to be replaced with a new version (check out Skoda uk website). Saying that the price you paid will be very good much less than those of us who paid 15500 ish when it was first launched. In my mind at the moment I stil prefer the old shape to the new shape so unless the new RS is amazing I will stick with my 4 year old model that has been faultless for that period and one I still love driving. Mine is totally standard and have no yearning or need to modify in standaand trim it still impresses me in all aspects, i.e accelaration, braking , fuel consumption cost of insurance etc.
