Is there any way to tell the difference between a CR140 and CR170 engine by looking under the bonnet? Failing that, will the registration document show which engine is fitted?

I imagine the sticker in the boot will give you an engine code....

On a 2013 Superb is 140 CFFB and 170 CFGB?

Mine's a 170 with a CFGB engine

 

If you have the VIN number I can check on ETOS, I think that gives the engine code fitted

Are we talking pre-facelift or post facelift?

 

I guess on a 2013 it could be either?

 

The reason I ask is that on the pre-FL Superb's you can tell by the colour of the boot badge...
