Columbus system gone German.

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a Skoda Superb SE Plus 1.8 Tsi 2011 and the Columbus system has changed to German, the radio, cd and dvd has stopped working.

The sat, map and traffic are ok but in German.  There is no sound at all.  I have tried a reboot and tried to change the language back to English but no joy.  It just says the preferred language is German and then locks up.

I have been told it may be the amplifier fuse, but I cannot locate the amplifier.  I believe it is under the driver or passenger seat but it seems to be well and truly carpeted in.  Could the amp be somewhere else on my model?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, thanks for the reply.  I was going to try the amp fuse first.  Do you know where to locate the amplifier on the Superb 1.8 TSi 2011?

It's a firmware corruption. just run an up to date firmware and it will solve the problem. but do have a map on standby as certain firmware will need to load in a new map.
