Sill covers and headlight bulbs

Featured Replies

Have fitted some sill covers (without having the templates);

Plus changed the dipped beam and sidelight bulbs;

Osram Nightbreaker plus H7 and Cool blue intense W5W.

Decided to change the sidelights as fitting the Nightbreaker's made the original sidelight bulb illumination look very yellow; they are on alongside the dipped beam.

All but the nearside sidelight were very straight forward to change. The nearside sidelight needed the battery retaining clamp removing and the battery lifting up over the lip of the tray and pushing back a little (terminals still attached) to get the space needed for my size of hand.

Nice cover there. Especially the "Rapid" one.

Do you mind sharing a "lighted" picture? :)

Sill covers were purchased from superskoda along with mats, while they had a 20% discount running; covered the postage cost to the UK;

Can also get them with a stainless steel insert but I prefered the basic one's this time around, as I felt they were more in keeping with the car and its colour;

Only come across one H15 upgrade bulb but not sure of the make;

None of the main manufactures, as far as I'm aware, have brought out an upgrade in H15 as yet :wonder:

Leaving the factory H15's for now.

I've gone for sill covers on my Sport too. Just the basic black. Dealer is going to fit them before delivery :)

I think I'm going to go for the ones with inserts but am too tight at the moment to spend 60 bucks on them
