Unless Seat have upped their game since my leon FR  (an 07) was built Spanish build quality is not as good as Czech. 

 

But aren't VW vehicles made, at least to some extent, wherever capacity can be planned in at one of the available VW plants. I thought that the Audi Q3 for example was made at the Seat factory in Spain and there seem to be relatively few complaints about quality there.So I think the factories are all capable of manufacturing a product to high standards. The quality of the detailed design may be a different matter though.

Seems to be a move that way, VW build the CityGo, Skoda the Toledo for example and the Roomster replacement (if there is one) will probably be a re-badged VW.

 

Small capacity petrol engines and gearboxes have also become Skoda's responsibility for the group (reason I believe VW bought into Skoda, they wanted their aluminium engine technology).

Both good points about the globalisation of production. what explains the evidence that Skoda build quality is, for the price, unusually good? There are issues but he fact is that discount ing component problems which are VAG general-there is good reason to think Skoda are among the best at any price.
