Well, its arrived. So I have a working car and it has a 1.8T in it... that puts me ahead of Toxic surly :P

Quite tidy being low miles, bit of a polish and it would look ok. But its RED, one of the 4 colours I'd not have (the others being yellow, pink and bathroom fantasy green), so I can't wait to start taking it apart :)

Ermm how light weight is it though

Well I've swapped the rear wheels for 14" steels so I can flog the alloys... other than that, standard :P But mine goes!

Scared myself a little today. Went to move the Seat to move some furniture out of the garage (whoohoo), it fired up then died. Second attempt it turned over but wouldn't fire. I'd tried it with the spare key! Main key works.

 

Hmm, panic over but whats up with the spare key? I assume the immobilizer kicked in so probably just needs pairing up?

Insurance isn't really a problem for me now, I've got lot of catching up to do as I didn't **** around with cars in my early 20s like everyone else.

Cupra top mounts
Adjustable drop links
Tyres (currently thinking RSR summers, some type of all season for winter)
2.5" exhaust with sports pussy

Uprated front ARB of some sort... Cupra maybe.
Rear ARB
Strut brace
Brakes... mmm 312mm?

It's not a 1.2 ;) 1.4 MPI mate! Got some power :rofl: all sounds good! Look for an Estate or Saloon ;)

Engine very nearly out now (much to the disgust of the girlfriend... "I'll finish my other bits this weekend"... "but you're not here this weekend you're going to see cars!"... oops :)).

 

Unfortunately I may have broken a few bits...

 

1) A vac pipe connecting to the throttlebody, rather than the pipe coming off the connector the connector has pulled out of the TB. Looks like a little copper pipe :(

2) One of the studs came out of the Turbo when removing the exhaust. Don't think this one is too much of a problem as long as the threads are good.

 

May also have found a Fabia... :x

    Noo not that bit :rofl: I decided I'm too far in to give up! It's just I've got to get the whole rear setup from a vRS as I can't use my rear axle

    All that shizzle is coming off the Ibiza :)

     

    Along with the entire front as no doubt its going to be in better condition than the Fabia I buy (minus the rack probably...).
