airbag light came on, MOT tomorrow

Featured Replies

airbag light just came on and I have my MOT tomorrow... all I have is some crappy ebay reader and that won't clear it obviously.

I don't believe it :dull:

Fancy a trip to Hawkinge?

One requires VCDS doesn't one? :)

Put some tape over the airbag light then get it scanned

;)

Unfortunatly it appeared there is a fault with the airbag ignitor or the wiring behind the dash (passenger side)

VCDS cleared it several times, but it came straight back.

Thanks Gizmo68 for your help :)

Took the glovebox out and found out that the connector pins for the airbag was all bent, I *carefully* bent them back together and connected the wire back on.

The light is now off :)

From the photo below it's still not sitting correctly. I guess a new airbag is in order?

It's done the job for now...
