Best to stick with standard filter as the oil used in aftermarket panel filters may contaminate your maf

if its a VRS mk2, he doesnt have a maf. So wont have any issues like this.

hey im looking to change the panel filter on my fabia but not sure whats best to go for ionly know of K&N and pipercross. what are people using??

thanks

If all you are after is more induction noise then a ‘performance’ filter will certainly sound louder, but don’t kid yourself that you are going to feel any difference because you wont.

A really good filter MAY give you an extra 1 - 2 bhp, (a bad one can take much more than that away) but the OE paper filter will filter more air than a std engine can use anyway.

some of the expensive filter systems like ITG have been proven on RR results on here to give 5-10 bhp.....

I cant tell a difference with my replacement element..... however I figure, its longer lasting, and cant do any harm :)
