Does anyone know what insurance groups the new Scout will be in? What Car has 19 for the 150PS & 20 for the 184PS but that seems low.

I'm seriously considering a Scout to replace my Mitsi ASX snail and would like the 184PS if the insurance isn't prohibative.

Why would they be any higher?  Despite what some people evidently think, 184PS isn't actually all that much power.

I would have expected them to be closer to the VRS. I really hope WC is right as a two group increase won't be a problem. 184PS and 4WD will let me make wifey thoroughly sea-sick going from Devizes to Chippenham or Swindon.

Hmmm.  Hadn't realised the vRS was that high, to be honest!  Probably because you get more boy racers in vRSs than you do in Scouts then, and they are more likely to be nicked - it's not just the engine that determines the insurance group.

Very true. I'm still trying to work out why the VW Tiguan which is slower than the Audi Q3 with the same engine is more expensive to insure.

If anyone cares, the Scout insurance groups are now in the Octavia brochure - 19E for the 150PS and 22E for the 184PS so four groups lower than the VRS. Time to visit my local dealer again and set up a test drive.....
