Hi guys,

 

I need to replace my rear shocks on the Fabia, she is currently sitting on AP Coilovers and one side is leaking like a b*tch, been an advisory on MOT for 2 years now...

 

I have been doing my research and the cheapest I can get a pair for seems to be a touch over £200 - now this seems a heck of a lot of money considering a full kit is only around £400!

 

Does anyone know of anywhere that would likely be cheaper?

The rear dampers have separate shocks and springs though?

 

Coilover kits use the standard mountings for the rear dampers, and fit exactly the same as standard.

You would need to find out if the AP dampers are shorter than standard, probably are.

 

If you fit standard length dampers and your AP springs are set too low the dampers will bottom out and will knacker up quickly.

AP rear dampers are definitely shorter than standard. I didn't measure but by eye i'd say they are roughly 50-80mm shorter
