Hi everyone!!

 

Today is the day! I have just signed the papers to officially order our new car. First of all I'd like to thank everyone in this forum for the help we've received, not only in the post I wrote asking for advice, but also for the hundreds of topics I've been reading which have helped us immensely!

 

So here are the specs for our future car:

 

- Skoda Octavia Combi vRS TDI 2.0 6-speed DSG

- Candy White

- Red lining

- Black design pack

- Sunset

- 18" Anthracite Gemini alloy wheels

- Pano Roof

- Heated front seats

- Traveller Assistant which includes: Columbus, Lane Assistant, Intelligent Light Assistant and Traffic Sign identification

- Driver Activity Assistant (fatigue detector)

- Adaptive Cruise Assistant

- Parking Assistant

- Kessy

- DAB radio (it wasn't included)

- Jumbo Box 230 v plug

- Pack Simply Clever (bin, multimedia support and reversible boot floor)

- Interior Cabin lights for feet area

 

We've decided to spec it like this because we'll be keeping the car for as long as possible (10+ years which is what is usually done here in Spain) and it's the first new car we buy so we got a bit carried away haha!

 

The dealer told us it should be here by end of October- November but I don't think that's realistic! He wants it here earlier or it won't count as this year's sale hehee

Nice! Mine (very similar spec) was built 2 days ago after being ordered in Feb. Are you sure they don't mean Oct-Nov 2015

Haha, must sound crazy, and I must admit that I wouldn't have chosen them! 

We live in the northwest of Spain, so it rains most of the year and it's pretty cold. Not as bad as the UK but pretty wet and cold, not the part of Spain you think of usually! It's very green and mountainous, mainly a farming and rural community with bendy roads and rocky beaches. It's a celtic region and is similar to Wales/Ireland, people play the bagpipes and there is another language!

 

I wouldn't have chosen the heated seats but my boyfriend had them in his BMW and he said it was amazing, so he wanted them again.

It's actually not available at all here in Spain. I have read in the Spanish forum a rumour that it might be included as an option when the new Skoda Scout is released but we're not sure when that'll be, so no reversing camera unfortunately!

Ordered 1st July and no build date yet despite the involvement of Skoda UK from day one .....

 

Realistically, the end of October or early November, which is about a month later that originally quoted.
