Ohh.. should have read the thread through before answering! But here goes a second post...

Regarding VeeRS's "keep my eyes open next time" remark, wonder if it would be possible to get a separate area for group buys and a possibility to say subscribe it - so you'd have the scoop on all of the group buys in e-mail or something. Cuz not everybody reads the forums every day.

Any of the admin team care to comment on this?

;) click me

what would a 160 pd intake make to my car ie : performace wise it is a 55 plate with 90 miles on clock :)

Mine had 19 miles on the clock when I did mine on 3rd Sept, so i cant tell at all if its making any difference. Time will tell on mpg if nothing else ( More air should mean better mpg!!??)

Hi again Gav, don't worry about chasing another one up. Just phoned my local Seat dealer and they actually have the parts in stock.

Thanks anyway, just wanted to save you the hassle of trying to locate another one & postage etc.

lol thats abit odd!

what was her surname? i may have known her

She lived there for a year when she was a student.

Just picked one up from my local Seat dealer as I didn't want to put anyone out. Thought you had enough time spent sending all the others out for people.

Thanks again and I appreciate you taking the time to phone the dealer & letting me know.

Klippie, if you send paypal payment of £27.08 (£1.08 to cover gaypal fee's) or if you want to send payment in post (cheque cash (recorded) or whatever) then i'll pm u my address.

glad they got there Juha, didnt take too long either.

Gav

cav-mad-gav,

Thanks mate, I'd like to pay by cheque please so if you could PM your address etc I'll send it off ASAP.

Cheers...

Have to comment on this one again. I installed mine this morning and have to say I'm pretty pleased with it. First impressions are a smoother ride from 1300rpm on. Before the install if you were running on low rpm like 1300 say using gear 4-6 it felt a bit strugling, that seems to be all gone now. Furthermore, this might be a bit placebo but, I reckon it revs noticeably better.

From comparing my original air pipe and the new one, the new version seems to have ~50% more capacity - so I guess that really should count for something. Well, anyways - wether it's placebo or not doesn't really matter as long as I'm happy with it. :)

Once more a big thanks for cav for arranging this. If you'd live closer, I'd buy a you a large pint of Guinness (if any of the buyers lives close enough, please do so).

  • 2 years later...

this thread is old!

Haha, another bump. Those were the days of cheap PD160's. If only I knew I'd have been onto a little gold mine
