Octavia LnK 1 Aircon Stuck at -50 Degree Celsius

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Today it was raining very hard and when I started my Octi and turned ON the AirCon, the temperature suddenly started to decrease from 29 degrees to -50 degree Celsius, that too without any cooling and within 5 secs.

This happened earlier as as well, but at that time if got fixed itself after driving the car for 1kms.

I tired almost every thing, like ECON mode, turned heater ON for good 6-7 kms but the temp is stuck at -50 degrees.

Please suggest how to fix this?

I have attached the pics for your reference...

That's the outside temperature display, the sensor is behind the passenger side lower radiator grill. Quiet a common failure, sensor needs replacement.

Minus  50.... chilly on the jiggly bits!!!!

I'd be reckoning same as manny - knackered temp gauge.

Lol… it was showing -50 and I was sweating like anything… actual temp outside was around 30 degrees.

Took car to a mechanic and found that temp sensor somehow got detached from the holder behind the bumper and was hanging…

Used compressed air to clean it and it worked :)
