Mid Section?

Featured Replies

Few months back I just had a new backbox fitted by longlife. At the time wasnt bothered about a full exhaust system. Now the mid section is blowing. Phoned up longlife they want another 150 for it. (MK1 VRS 1.8t BTW).

Question is; at the same time id like to release a little extra noise aswell.

Probably better off just getting a diesel mid section? They seem uber cheap and are straight thru. Not fussed about stainless steel as I will probably only keep the car for another 12 months.

For £20 it's worth doing, if it sounds gash then it's not like you've wasted loads of money. Done this to a few cars and on my st170 I left the mid box in but put a diesel back pipe on which had no box in. Should sound ok though as the back box will determine the sound but I'd of thought it will be quite abit louder

it will make extra noise but for £20 its worth doing

Remember you need a sleeve to fit the mid pipe to the rear silencer. It won't make much difference to the sound
