Wondering why there is a gap exposing the nut on the rear wiper or is there a bit missing/lost,looked at a few in the local dealers and were all the same,does anybody know the reason?

Thanks all for such polite answers to my stupid question,I only remember the bright red jet on the octavia but in my defence I think it could have been designed to look a bit better.

My nozzle and cover are both AWOL. Trying to get replacements arranged. Think it went on a event trip to a wedding in August. Thought it looked odd, but I don't drive the Yeti much.
