Seriously, a set of the cheapest new tyres could be 100x safer than a tyre that has been through who knows what.

Eagle F1's? Or these Falken's I've heard so much about? I think I would prefer some tyres which last and don't make such a racket when rolling.

 

Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance, very good wet grip rating too.

 

Can't speak for longevity I sold the car before they wore out. I'd done about 10k on them and they looked like they were good for the same again.

 

I'd get the tyres again though I was impressed with them.
