You pay 10% more if you buy 6 months tax (as is now) or buying by DD monthly only 5% more over the one off 12 month price.

If you get a crappy inkjet printed paper disc I think that'd be worth holding onto. Some people collect them and the last ones where they've run out of paper are bound to be rarer.

On the 1st October you can remove it, there is no requirement to display one after that date.

I've got the original from 3 years ago for the works car.

I'm going to display that just to mess with folk

You'd probably get fined then for showing an invalid tax disc or some other thing they will concoct to make a bit more money

When I bought my 1978 Spitfire, it had all the old tax discs neatly stuck into a folder. Current expires at end of Sept, so that will be the last.

I will be taking mine off, it's in a Richbrook alloy holder that rattles, glad to get rid. Roll on Wed

Took mine off the bike tonight. 2 days early bit itll be alreet!

Generally alot less noticeable on a bike anyway.

Not sure.  I already have two pretty big stickers on the car.  I was perhaps thinking of a little detailing business advert.  Just not sure how effective I can make that within only a 3" circle

You only really need a logo and a website on it to make it effective! People remember logos so will google it when they get home

Mine fell off when I replaced it in May, and the holder has lost it's stick. I never bothered to put it back, but keep it in the door and throw it on the dash when parked up and not at home (drive) or work (private land). 

 

I'll most likely just bluetac a small square of paper there with the date on still though as a reminder.

So we don't have to leave current tax discs in until they expire?

 

I'm going to feel a bit naughty not having one on display.

Won't even notice its gone Mines been up behind the mirror since I got the Celica, as in the normal spot it adds to the A pillar blind spot due to the low seating position.

 

Already took mine off was looking forward to the day to be honest its outdated.
