also how to get the trim off the underside of the boot lid. Have taken out the warning triangle undone the two screws not sure what to do next without breaking something Thanks

There are 4 screws - two in the warning triangle holder, and one each in the handle cutouts in the trim.

After that, I think it just needs a strong tug - there are a series of 10 or so clips around the edge.  You might break a clip or two off the trim panel - they can be glued back later if required.  Ideally you would have access to the edges of the trim (ie with the boot open) and then you could use a pry tool to release the clips in a bit more controlled fashion...

At the edge of the trim where the lock is located the trim goes over the two rubber bump stops, so you might find it difficult to remove the trim completely if the boot is shut.

Have finally found a thread to, removing the trim, will look to see if there are 2 more screws as mentioned, then will pull the trim to release the clips, greasing them when attempting to put it back.

The ones in the handles are quite hard to see even with the boot open - they are right at the bottom of the handle recess and at a bit of a funny angle.  They are definitely there though, unless someone has already had them out...! :)

only 2 screws on the 2007/8 car that are behind the hazard warning triangle. used screw driver between the trim and the body work to lever apart the trim from the body work 4 clips on the plastic trim at the top, then could see the unit. too many wires etc for me to start trying to fix so getting skoda to fix it in the next couple of days.

using michelin energy saver tyres 205/55/16/91h managed 40000 miles

going to replace with same energy saver plus, 91v slightly better value at the moment £80 approx each fitted will get a discount as its a taxi maybe £72 each

Also water in the passenger side well caused by not replacing the battery cover jet washes plus lots of rain 2" in the back, dried it out with news paper , read on topics here what the problem was and which unit and wires would be the problem (the rear wiring) took it to a taxi signage place who put in meters radios cameras etc told them what the problem was one hour later all rewired ( they are use to removing trims in all vehicles ) and working well.

Thanks for the heads up in the forums
