Forgot to say the Octavia is a 7 spd DSG and Rapid is a manual... anythting to worry about when looking at second hand 1 yr DSG's? Thinking im going to try and sneak a test drive of that one as well

Should be ok, most of the duff ones were from a few years back.

Drive both see which you like best. The Octavia is a better car but then even used it's probably going to be a bit more expensive than the Rapid...IMHO a 1.2 Rapid Sport is a lot of car for the money and also looks good.

I love my Sport and the 1.2tsi as the the Rapid is not a heavy car and the fuel economy is great. Yes the Octavia is better but you pay the price for that which I think is getting a bit high now for a budget VAG brand.

See which one you like. There will be some who will always knock things on other models because they don't like them.

Test drive them both back to back, tell the dealer thats what you wanna do in advance and he'll have them both ready for you, I take it the Octavia is the 1.4 TSI, I already know which you'll buy especially seeing as someone else has already taken the biggest depreciation of the car's life.

If your are buying on PCP I bet there isn't a huge amount of difference in the monthlies - the Rapid residuals were quite low from memory (but I could be wrong)

It actually seems to be an Octavia 1.2tsi DSG did they do a 1.2 in 2013?

Been allowed to replace the car by my wife.. Got options of brand new rapid or a second hand 2013 reg Octavia don't know which to pick lol

Is that a serious question?
