stalling

Featured Replies

hello,I've got a fabia 1.2 petrol,it doesn't seem to run too badly but when it gets warmed up and you go to pull away from a standing start if you press accelerator too quick it seems to gasp and then cut out,it will start straight away and you can pull away ok,it then runs fine through the gears .have changed the etc sensor as suggested in previous thread but am now at a loss of what the problem could be.i have no  warning lights appearing on dash .if anyone has any thoughts i thank you in advance cheers

What year is the car, and what is the engine code (AWY or BMD or AZQ or BME)

Did you reset the ECU after the sensor change so it could relearn its settings?

this may be stupid but where do i find out what engine code it is and how would i reset the ecu

Dude, just disconnect the battery negative terminal overnight tonight, that will do it nicely.

is it as simple as that-there will be no need to do locks or window operation etc-sorry but if car was made of wood id be ok.when throttle body etc removed you have to get these things reset so there wouldn't be owt like that disturbed.i know I'm a plank but each to their own

You'll need to reset the windows using the full closure on the key, locks are fine, write down your radio code if you haven't already.

Engine code is on the sticker in the front of your service book, and on another one under the boot carpet. Also sometimes there's a sticker on the top engine mount next to the timing chain case, with engine code and engine number.
