Drivers seat base cover detaching as I sit down

Featured Replies

Morning all

Spotted a potential issue this morning. As I'm getting in and out of the drivers seat of my rapid, it seems to be causing the edge of the seat base covering (the side next to the door and underneath the height adjust handle) to pull away from the frame.

From what I can see, the base  seat cover is just held in place with a stiff plastic edge that folds in under the base frame, so it's easy enough to put back into place, but I seem to have to do it every other journey.

Has anyone else encountered this, and is there any easy fix that people are aware of to prevent it happening?

Cheers

Chris

No I haven't but I will check now.

Thanks for looking - do let me know if you have a similar issue.

At nearly 3k our sport seats seem fine and I've not had an issue similar to what you describe with any of our previous Skoda's.

Hope you get it sorted,

Thanks, Hoping I can get it sorted without too much grief. Car is going in on Thursday morning. Passenger seat is problem free, but the drivers seat base fabric becomes dislodged with next to no effort. On a car that is only 9 months old and done 6,000 miles, it is disappointing. At least it will be a good test of the problem solving abilities and willingness of dealer I bought it from.

At least it is the only issue with the car, been problem free otherwise.

Cheers

Quick update - went back to the dealer on Thursday. They had a go at removing a refitting the seat cover. Alas it didn't solve the problem, so a new seat base/cover is being ordered.
