ride quality

Featured Replies

I have had my car almost a year but the ride feels different.

It feels much firmer and seems to rock over bumps. I had the front tyres changes a few months ago and now have Conti 5s on the front.

Just wondering if the tyres would make that much of a difference compared to the stock conti 2s supplied new?

My guess is probably not, over inflated?

Just a thought, some people have experienced dealers not removing the transit packing pieces from the suspension before delivery, leaving them in does make the ride pretty firm!

I guess after a year you've probably ticked that box though. :)

I too had probs with my suspension when I received my Octy 2.00 dsg on the first of Sept.

I took it back to the dealer He checked it over and said all was ok BUT I found the ride much better

They said all was ok /// WAS IT??  I will never know. But now is ok no probs

They left the transport blocks in the suspension, then removed them but wouldn't admit fault.

Yes that was my thoughts as well They admit nothing

You'd know if you had transport blocks.

Mine had them left on, and every single speed bump meant slowing down to like 5mph. The ride quality was horrendous.
