Is the Halfords (581HD) 21W Heavy Duty Bulb ok for a Superb 2012 SE saloon?

 

Any pros or cons to this? Yes, I know it's just a bulb!

What function does a 581HD bulb perform? It's OK, I Googled it! An indicator bulb it seems.

Next question, front indicator or rear indicator?

 

Will it fit? Yes, in the rear light cluster, no in the front light cluster.

 

The front indicator bulbs on the pre-FL Superb are a stange type - PY24W...

 

 

This is all in the manual by the way, it recommends a PY21W for the rear indicator bulb which means the ones you are looking at from Halfords will fit, but only at the rear...

 

It's the rear indicator, not that it matters as it's the same part number for front and rear indicators according to the Halfords website.

 

Stuck at work so don't have manual etc..

Don't trust the Halfords guide, its well reported to be widely inaccurate.

 

Those bulbs you list in the opening post will fit your car's rear light clusters.
