Wear on inside edge of rear offside tyre

Featured Replies

As the title, we have wear on the inside edge of the tyre, question is can you adjust the rear camber?

Hi, you need to get the tracking checked anyway. I have just had mine done, and I was told you can only adjust the front. Its possible you have a buckled wheel, or tyre running a bit flat .

Tracking fine wheel not buckled tyre pressures fine

had similar on my Octavia mk1 and roomster, seemed to be a "feature" and only an issue as the tyres came near to the end of life

I used to use it as an indicator for changing the rears

I did notice it was worse if I had a boot full of carp for work for an extended period of time which led me to believe under load the geometry changed slightly on the rear somehow

Rear bumper dragging on the road will change "geometry" a bit.  :D

Has it been on a hunter 4 Wheel alignment machine to confirm, simple tracking simply aligns the front two wheels to the back without even checking the back is pointing in the right direction.

Having talked to the missus this tyre used to be on the front, before the tracking was sorted, so mystery solved

Well that was a lesson in how the Briskoda community helps each other.  ps, always listen to your wife, its a lot safer. :peek:

Just wish she had told me earlier, her car not mine and she works away so I hadn't seen it before I did the brakes

We'll let you off then.  :giggle:
